Lough Ree RNLI Boathouse Appeal

Donation protected
Lough Ree RNLI volunteer lifeboat operates from a base located at Coosan Point in Athlone, where they have provided a vital life-saving service from a temporary base since 2012.  Given that this station is one of the busiest in Ireland, and with the arrival of a brand lifeboat last year, building a new boathouse for the search-and-rescue boat and volunteer crew is now essential.  Once completed, later in this year, this modern lifeboat station will also include a workshop and training facilities.

To help achieve this by the end of this year, a group of local business people have formed a committee with the aim to raise €100,000 towards this €1.2 million project.

The support of our community around Lough Ree and the Shannon is vital for this amazing facility and it's volunteers to operate to its optimum on the lake and river.
