MeWater x Urban Remedy Surfboard Fundraiser

 

Urban Remedy Family,

 

Let's come together and show our love to MeWater Foundation. This fundraiser will support the production of two custom 8-foot beginner boards that will be donated to MeWater foundation to use in their efforts of supporting the San Francisco Bay Area community.

 

MeWater Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization run by surfers and mental health professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area. They provide day and overnight surf camps to youth, families, and groups, with a mental health approach to mindfulness, empowerment, and exposure to the ocean and the great outdoors.

 

 

 

 

Each surfboard has a meaning attached to its design. The first board represents "Happiness and Inclusion," which means that all are welcome to the ocean for healing and joy. The second board represents "Health and Wellness," which symbolizes that health and wellness go together like the sun to the moon - basically, a symbiotic relationship. The volunteers of MeWater can share these messages to help emphasize the mindfulness approach to mental health.

The boards will be presented at a Summer 2022 volunteer event. When the date is decided, it will be shared with all employees for the opportunity to attend and volunteer. The hope is to also pass out cold-pressed juices to the kids and volunteers of MeWater. The boards will be shaped and produced by a professional shaper here in Oregon.
