A Run for a Little One

Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page! I have decided to dust off my running shoes and, for the first time ever, run a half-marathon on May 28th at the Servus Calgary Marathon with some of my partners at ARC Financial. In conjunction with this run, I have decided to undertake a small fundraiser for the Calgary Health Foundation.

The Calgary Health Foundation is a philanthropic organization established in 1996 to unite donors, hospitals, healthcare providers and community partners with the ambitious aim of revolutionizing health outcomes. They are dedicated to funding health projects that make breakthroughs possible for the thousands of people who rely on the Calgary health system every day. Some of the specific causes that they support include neurocritical care patients, mental health services, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (“NICU”). This last one is near and dear to my heart given our recent experience with our little one. As I’m sure some of you know, the NICU can be a very stressful time for all involved with 1 in 8 infants born prematurely. As such, I wanted to find a way to give back to a program that was so influential in getting our girl back home safe and sound. I can’t say enough about the NICU and the exceptional staff that they employ. Please donate if you want to support such a cause (every dollar helps).
