Hello

My name is Tony Walker and I’ve lived in the village of Methley, which is located just outside Leeds.

We have a fantastic community and a brilliant U16s football team all looked after by generous family people who give up there own time to assist and promote when / where required.

Myself & a colleague in Methley have put up sponsorship for the U16s team kit this year and we are also trying to create extra funds for this trip to help them all wind down and recharge with something they all enjoy very much.

The trip details are as below that we need to achieve revenue for.

Holland Tour 2026! ⚽

End of June/Early July 2026

We would love everyone to be able to make it – this will be a big celebration after the season and the end of their GCSEs ⚽.

The Plan (Hopefully)

• Trip to Southern Holland

• Coach & Ferry travel from Leeds

• Staying in Center Parcs cottages

• Includes a friendly match vs Dutch opposition, a training session, a stadium tour, with free time to Integrate with the opposition and hopefully make some life long friends from another country.

Costs

• Around £549 per player

Fundraising:

We want to fundraise across the year to try to bring travel costs down for everyone and hopefully this will add speed to the collection pot.

We also need parents and players to help fundraising in other ways so it’s not all about this.

A proper Grass Roots football team all with big dreams and plenty of ambition.
