You never expect it when it happens. It can be in the hallway of your home, the backyard, or worse when stepping down without railings.  Being a disabled veteran and needing a service dog never crossed my mind before "it" happened. But here we are.

Merlin is an integral part of keeping my life moving along. He is my railing over uneven terrain or in dimly lit areas. When I fall, he checks on me and provides a hand hold to help me up. And, the times I have need to travel alone, he is my guardian angel who helps me feel safe.

But above all, when sorrow swells in my heart, he is my friend. Merlin doesn't judge, and is always happy to be there no matter what.
I humbly ask for help to cover a very expensive hip replacement procedure. After consulting veterinarians and weighing all the options, we believe this surgery is the best option to keep Merlin going at his best.
