Just before COVID lockdowns in March, Josh and Becki moved their three kids to a new home out of state in the Amish countryside of Pennsylvania for a new dream job that was then thwarted by the nationwide shutdown. Soon after, they were graced with the news that they were again expecting. Ellie had prayed for a baby sister and she was especially pleased to learn a girl was coming and promptly petitioned to name her Lilly.
As Lilly's due date nears, doctors have found that she suffers from a lifelong condition called lymphatic malformation. This means that a growth is threatening her airway and digestive track. Doctors monitor the amniotic fluid levels to see if Lilly is still able to swallow. Becki has been referred to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for their renowned expertise for what will likely be a double surgery of a c-section and life-saving measures on Lilly's birthday.
Becki will need to spend much time 90 minutes away from home as Lilly braves the NICU.
This faithful family has had their resilience tested more times than seems fair, so my sister suggested we reach out to you to see if you have a few dollars to spare for our cousin's costly, emotional adventure that races ahead right at Christmas this year.
Their focus is on their children and they are fighting for normalcy while forging ahead with a smile and confidence in God's providence.
If you are in a position to do so, they will be so humbled to receive any buoy in this sea of unknowns. In addition to helping offset the overwhelming medical expenses, we hope to help them with costs for gas, travel, lodging, groceries, etc.
Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity.
