Hi dear friends!
As you all know, my passion and heart is in mental health and social justice advocacy. I spend a lot of my time connecting and presenting with youth, teachers, parents, and social service providers about the importance of mental health and wellness in our community. I use my mental health journey as a way to open a door to meaningful conversations and connections.
I have been very lucky to be recognized on a municipal, provincial, and national level for my work in this field.
What is the next step in my journey? I want to go national. I have been given the incredible opportunity to attend the Canadian Mental Health Association National Conference in Montreal, Quebec. It is a 3 day conference in October where National leaders and trailblazers in the field of mental health will come together and have important conversations about the importance of mental health literacy in our homes, workplaces, and anywhere we go. It has been a dream of mine to be apart of this conference. I am so lucky and grateful that the BC Division of CMHA has covered my registration fee.
So why this go fund me? I'm creating this Go Fund Me to ask for a little help in regards to my travel (flight) and hotel stay in Montreal. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!
