As you celebrate this holiday season with family and friends, please consider contributing to the mental health rehabilitation of Armenian children, soldiers, and their families in need.

Armenian Behavioral Science Students (ABSS) is partnering with The Association for Trauma Outreach and Prevention (ATOP) MeaningfulWorld to support individuals' mental health in Armenia and Artsakh. ATOP MeaningfulWorld is an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) affiliated with the United Nations Department of Global Communication. Since 1988, Humanitarian Outreach Teams have hosted over 20 missions to rehabilitate survivors of traumatic events in Armenia and Artsakh.

Following the 2020 war in Artsakh, ATOP MeaningfulWorld has impacted hundreds of lives through its diverse set of projects, such as:

Preparing the launching of a Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Sponsoring children in need and expanding to supporting elders in need
Engaging elders with children in daycare centers for generational transmission of meaning-making
Campaigning on transforming Horizontal Violence (lifting one another up)

About ABSS

Armenian Behavioral Science Students (ABSS) is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting the behavioral sciences for students of all levels and connecting the diaspora to provide mental health support for Armenian individuals in need. So far, ABSS has 60 members from 14 US states and Armenia. Compared to the United States and other privileged countries, Armenia and Artsakh are immensely behind on their mental health support levels. Our approach is to connect behavioral science experts with students to gain experience and knowledge, and to raise funds for psychological aid to individuals in need in Armenia and Artsakh.
