Mending a Ukrainian Family

The Vozniuk family arrived in the United States mid July. They are Ukrainian refugees, here to seek shelter and safty away from the dangers of war. This family has faced more hardship than many of us could even begin to imagine. They left an entire life behind including friends, family, and their family dog, a French Bulldog named Mars. The loss of their dog has been so incredibly challenging for this family. Mars was an important member of their family and they have been grieving him since before they arrived here in the Unitied States.

Vozniuk Family landed in Detroit! Just 1 hour drive till they make it to their new home, Toledo!

We recently felt that timing was right for them to get another puppy. They of course wanted another French Bulldog. We located a breeder that was willing to donate a puppy to the family. On 9/9, we drove 3 hours one way to meet this cute girl of which we had seen many photos and videos. When arriving, we were told that this puppy had just injured her leg, they thought it was sprained, and that she would be ok in a day with some rest. We knew looking at her that it was more than that. We agreed to take her with her injured leg becuase we knew that if we didn't, that she would have been killed as soon we left the property.

The puppy has been to the vet, and x-rays were taken. She has a very significant fracture. Her leg was splinted, and she has been scheduled for surgery on 9/15.

Surgery to repair Luna's leg will be about $6000. We are asking for prayers and any financial support to save this puppy and to help a greiving refugee family become whole again.
