Dear friends and family,
I regret to inform you that on December 13, 2020 my family, the Mendez household, suddenly lost our beloved dad to COVID-19. Although he suffered from many health conditions, he was slowly recovering. The sudden loss was heart-breaking. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and above all, a best friend.

We are all devastated by the loss of, Abel Mendez, a man who worked hard and was able to give his children a chance of a better life than his early years. He worked multiple jobs and always made sure there was food on the table. The man loved watching soccer especially European league soccer. He knew all about Real Madrid and we will all miss his knowledge and wit for the game.

We are asking for donations at this time to pay for a small funeral which was held at Funeraria del Angel Panorama City (Estimated $5,000). Due to delays caused by the pandemic, we are still waiting for the ashes and a burial site (Estimated $6,000). The prices are all more than we can handle alone.               El 13 Diciembre 2020 fallesio mi papa debido al COVID 19. Era un padre , esposo, abuelo y hermano pero mas que nada un buen amigo. Mi familia no se imaginaba una trajedia de este nivel.
