On Saturday 29th November, the Solihull Men Walking and Talking group will take on an all-day endurance challenge to raise money for the wider Men Walking and Talking organisation.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), MWAT doesn’t receive funding in the same way charities do. To continue growing, setting up more groups, reaching more men, and ultimately saving lives, we rely on the generosity of supporters like you.
A team of dedicated individuals from our Solihull group will complete eight varied laps around Solihull over eight hours, with those going the full distance covering the equivalent of a marathon. Together, we’re aiming to reach a collective distance of 1,000 kilometres between 8am and 4pm.
Not everyone will complete the full distance, but every participant will play a vital part in this monumental team effort — raising valuable funds that will go directly toward supporting men’s mental health across the MWAT network.
Our base for the day will be The Mason’s Arms, where each lap will begin and end. A support team will be stationed there to welcome walkers, track progress, and keep spirits high throughout the challenge.
We’d love for local residents to come along and cheer us on — especially at the finish line at 4pm. Your encouragement means the world, but what truly makes the difference are your donations. Every contribution helps us reach more men who need someone to walk and talk with.
If you know someone taking part, please include a few words of encouragement with your donation. Your message could be the extra push that helps them go that little bit further.
Thank you for supporting Men Walking and Talking — together, we’re helping men open up, connect, and change lives.
