The Apollo V4 series is based on the 68080 CPU designed by Gunnar von Boehn.
Primary focus of the V4 is to be the ultimate Amiga for the future.
Historically Amiga hardware does not use a Memory Management Unit (MMU).
But in a future Roadmap of 68080 development adding a MMU could bring benefits:
- Compatibility with (Amiga) Unix/Linux
- Compatibility with Motorola 68060 MMU
- Compatibility with Atari Platform
To realize the MMU support for Apollo V4 series we ask those who recognize the added value of a MMU to fund the 150 to 250 hours of additional work needed yo be done by Gunnar.
