Hi, my name is Walker Harris and four days ago my dad (Tim Harris) lost consciousness and fell down a staircase breaking his neck. He was unable to breathe and went into cardiac arrest, a bystander tried to perform CPR but was unable to do anything, the paramedics got there and performed CPR and were able to get my fathers heart beating again. Because his heart stopped for around 20 minutes he suffered severe brain damage and was fully paralyzed from damages to his c1/c2 vertebraes.

 

Unfortunately because of those injuries he was completely unresponsive and the doctors said it was not survivable. I remember my dad saying to me when I was around 14 years old that if anything were to happen to him and he had to live his life on a ventilator to just let him go, it was still the toughest decision of my life but I know it's what he would have wanted.

 

So on October 7th, 2021 my father passed away peacefully.

He donated his liver and kidneys hopefully saving three peoples lives and for that he's a hero to me, he was always the one setting everything up for others when it came to funerals/memorials in the family and he deserves one for himself.

 

As most people know, my family has never been the wealthiest and I didn't think I needed financial help at first but with every thing adding up quickly and myself also wanting to do some memorial services for my father I just can't afford any of this as a 22 year old.

 

I'm not going to lie, therapy is also a lot of money and I think at this point in my life it's something I would like to do. I only really did it before my mom passed away when I was 13, and I never ever expressed my feelings after she passed and now my dad passing as well is really rough on me and I just think it's something I need to do.

 

Nothing is necessary at all, I feel bad for even needing help financially when it comes to this but life's rough and sometimes you just need to reach out.
