Hi, I’ve been thinking for a while now that it would be lovely to replace the bench outside Cafe Riga where so many of our departed loved ones spent so much time at camp.

We have permission from Straumeni and have carefully considered the plaque message shown in the main picture to honour the people who raised us and help build Straumeni in to the beautiful place we all care about so much. The message will be in both English and Latvian to truly represent our camp.

A solid teak bench which can remain in place for many years to come and memorialise our special people will cost us around £400. It would be amazing if we could raise this money before 3x3 Straumeni 2025 and have a ribbon cutting ceremony at camp.
