Memo and his family are very grateful and I'll be helping them make a video so they can tell you very soon. Memo is on his third round of chemo this week, thank you for continuing to keep him in your prayers all the way until he's completely healed.

May you receive the blessings of your support back tenfold! Thank you for being an angel!

Forever grateful! ~Midori

Greetings,

My name is Midori Takata. As some of you may already know my dear brother-in-law Guillermo “Memo” Renteria was recently diagnosed with terminal stage 4 colon cancer, which has metastasized in the liver, kidney and lungs.

I've set up this fundraiser so we can all support this wonderful man and his family with the immense financial expenses needed to get him back to health. Memo has fought many battles in life, with our help he will win this one. Memo's cancer diagnosis is devastating for the many people who adore him. This fundraiser is one way to say "Thank You"/ appreciate an amazing human and his family for all they have done for so many.

Memo’s oncologist has assigned him permanent disability and Memo has began a 48 hour chemotherapy treatment, once every two weeks for 6 months to evaluate. The doctor expects this sort of treatment to be part of the rest of Memo’s life. We estimate that with their insurance deductible, co-payments and non-covered expenses Memo and his family will have to pay out of pocket about $30,000.00 each year. This is only for the doctor’s suggested treatment and it does not include other expenses to support Memo through diet, natural supplements and health programs/care that will compliment his treatment.

If you don’t know Memo, those that do will tell you that he is one of the most helpful and kind people they know. He is the sort of person who gives up his meals for the less fortunate. His children will tell you he is an amazing, loving father. If his dogs could speak, they would probably tell you that he’s the best human ever. Memo is a blessing to our family and community. He and my sister Harumi support orphanages, and are the first ones to show up when you need them. Their doors are always open to host family and friends, with love and smiles on their faces. They are big-hearted humans who give so much of themselves to elevate so many people.

While receiving these news has been hard to say the least, Memo remains in good spirits, and thanks to the support of people like you we can keep those spirits up and beat cancer as a village!

Please join me in getting Memo back to full health and be a story of success to inspire others fighting the same battle! Thank you for making a contribution and showing your love and support for Memo and his family!

All donations small or big are welcome & will help us get to our goal.
May you receive back the blessing of your support ten-fold!

100% of the funds raised (after GoFundMe fees) will go directly to Memo and his family.
