HELP MELVA BRING HER FAMILY HOME

Hi, my name is Lana, and I am fundraising for Melva to help bring her nieces and nephews home that have been orphaned in the Philippines.

I have known Melva for just over five years now, she is a friend and co worker, she is that person who would do anything for anyone. We all know at least one of those special people! Now I am hoping everyone will do the same for her.

Melva came to Canada in 2009 and started working here while her family, husband and two children stayed back in the Philippines until 2016 when they finally were able to join her here. Her son was only a year old and her daughter was five, I cannot even imagine how difficult that would have been. Her daughter is now in university taking her Masters and her son just graduated grade 12.

In 2017 her brother was murdered in the Philippines over five dollars and a pedal bike, he left behind a wife and three children. Melva started helping her sister in-law and the children financially. The sister in-law then died four years later due to health care complications. Now two years later her sister just passed away suddenly who left behind five children.

Melva is now left with a total of eight orphaned children to try and support when she is here, and they are there. She is trying to bring home the four youngest, ranging from ages 8 to 15 to make it easier for her to care for them.

Since I have known Melva, she has always been hard working, kind, generous, outgoing, and so full of life. It is heart breaking for us, her friends and co workers to see the financial and emotional toll this has brought to her. So, we are asking for your support to donate and spread this as far as we can!

All funds raised will go towards the care of the children back in the Philippines and to help cover the expense to get them home to Melva.
