Hi, my name is Kenneth Hanson and I am the father of Melody Brazil (28) who passed several days after an accidental Fentanyl overdose on April 1st, 2023. I rushed to California where we all were by her side remaining hopeful and praying for her recovery.

We need to stay diligent in the fight to get Fentanyl off the streets and away from our children!!!

As a Father, this is the roughest event I have faced in my entire life! 

She left behind an amazing 3-year-old daughter Lily, and a wonderful partner Dillon. 

He has been an awesome father and partner over the last four years! Taking care of Melody through pregnancy, always keeping Lily's health and happiness his number one priority while remaining hopeful for their family's future together.

He is engaging and present with Lily and spends a great deal of time enjoying the ocean, forests and parks while keeping her active with biking, hiking and skateboarding. He has demonstrated the rare qualities of a young father and partner... reliability, dedication, and unconditional love through every obstacle they encountered!

Although Dillon has established a career over the last 5 years, after losing Melody's family contributions, he was unable to keep his apartment in Pacific Grove. 

Combined with the financial obligations, challenges of parenting and now, Melody's passing, it has all caught up with him. 

He and Lily have a temporary place now but, it is not their own private space. The recent disruptions and chaos are detrimental to their healing!

I have offered to bring him to my home in Arizona until he can get established. He understandably, is not ready to leave his career, support group or disrupt Lily's stability more in another state.

Now, He is faced with raising a young daughter while navigating the aftermath of loss, grief and the challenges that lie ahead of raising a child alone.

I am asking that you please help this young man to find a safe home to raise his daughter. Also, to get the quality counseling, and special optometry Lily so desperately needs.

*** I have taken care of all the final arrangements for Melody. 

All donations will be for Dillon Hayes and Lily Mae Hayes.
