Hi Everyone!

This November, Johnny & Colin will be traveling to Cape Town, South Africa, to take part in the Mellon Educate Building Blitz 2025 — a week-long volunteer mission to help build and renovate schools for children in underserved communities.

We’re joining a team of hundreds of volunteers from around the world, rolling up our sleeves and getting our hands dirty to give these kids something many of us take for granted: a safe, inspiring place to learn.

For those who may not be familiar, Mellon Educate is an Irish-based charity dedicated to tackling the shortage of adequate housing and educational facilities in South Africa’s most disadvantaged townships. Over the years, Mellon Educate has played a vital role in improving lives—having built 175,000 homes for families in need. More recently, the focus has shifted to building schools, ensuring that children have access to proper education in a safe, supportive environment.

Mellon Educate has already helped over 50,000 children by improving schools, classrooms, and facilities, but there’s still so much to be done. This year’s blitz will transform the learning environments of thousands more — and we’re proud to be part of that effort.

To make this mission possible, we’re raising funds to cover the costs of materials, construction support, and the broader Mellon Educate initiatives that go far beyond bricks and mortar. Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards building better futures for these children.
