Melissa Lebruin is a free-spirited, joyous and passionate individual, focused on the craft of transformation. She comes from a small West Indian Island called the Commonwealth of Dominica. Facing adversity, she immigrated to the United States over a decade ago to build a better life for herself and family.
She is active in Zen community where she volunteers her time as a member of the First Zen Institute of America, a non-profit organization that provides information on Zen Buddhism and offers opportunities to practice Zen to the public.
Her vision for the world is as follows:
“I would like to create a safe space where youth of any race or gender can learn about emerging technologies, where they can utilize that knowledge to make a difference in the world. I’d love to see human beings return to nature through mutual respect for the earth, themselves and others. We need a world where human beings lead with compassion and a willingness to accept others for who they are. How beautiful it would be if the basic needs of all were met without question.
I would like to facilitate that vision by creating a space where minorities can meet to practice wellness, showcase art and convene to discuss ways in which good change can be achieved together.”
Her support team is raising $3,000 to send her to the Atlas Project training program in Denver. Atlas is a 3-part training program that helps people explore their potential, break through their barriers, and redesign their lives.
This $3,000 will cover the cost of three in-person trainings over 4 months:
Explore: a 4-day training to cultivate self-awareness
Breakthrough: a 5-day training to build self-confidence, self-trust, and self-love
Redesign: a 90-day integration period to effectively produce desired results
Please support Melissa in living her vision. She is a fearless leader committed to creating opportunities in her community for all to meet and heal.
