Melissa Effect Jamaica
Recovery & Support Fund
For Family and Friends Affected by Hurricane Melissa
We are raising funds to support those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and hope in the wake of Hurricane Melissa — a devastating Category 5 storm that struck Jamaica.
Here in Belfast, Maine, we have deep and personal ties to Jamaica. For many years, we have built strong relationships with our friends, families, and communities across the island. Now, those very people — our extended family — need our help more than ever.
My name is Nickalos, and I’m organizing this fundraiser to support my hometown of Mandeville, Jamaica, where my family still lives, as well as Black River, where I lived for many years. Black River was hit especially hard — it’s where my daughter’s family resides. Many of our loved ones have lost everything:
• Homes
• Schools
• Churches
• Markets
• Businesses
• Jobs
Entire communities are struggling to rebuild.
Your donation will help provide:
• Critical relief – food, water, and medical care
• Essential supplies and temporary shelter for displaced families
• Long-term rebuilding of homes, schools, and community centers
Every dollar makes a difference.
Even $1 can help bring hope and relief to those in need.
Thank you for standing with us and supporting our brothers and sisters in Jamaica as they recover and rebuild.
One Love,
Blessings,
Nickalos
