Melbourne Half - In Memory of Alec
I'm running the Run Melbourne Half Marathon on 13th July to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. I am running in memory of my incredible Grandad, Alec, who passed away earlier this year after a long battle with this cruel disease.
Those lucky enough to have known Alec know he was disciplined in everything he committed to, and as a novice runner, I am enjoying trying to emulate that!
For over five years, my Granny cared for Grandad at home with constant love and patience. This run is for both of them, and for every family navigating the reality of dementia. The money raised will go directly to Alzheimer’s Society UK, funding vital research into better treatments and ultimately a cure, while also providing life-changing support and guidance to those affected by dementia.
Any donation, no matter the size, would mean a lot to me and my family. Thank you SO much for your support!
