Hi everyone,

This isn’t the easiest thing to write about, but my name is Melinda, and I’m a mum to my beautiful boy Luca, who is 1, and currently pregnant with my second son, Elijah, who is due in May 2026. In October, we lost their dad, and since then, everything in our lives has changed.

The grief of losing him has been overwhelming, and trying to stay strong for my children through it has been incredibly hard. Recently, due to ongoing family issues and circumstances beyond my control, we’ve also become homeless.

Right now, my biggest fear is not being able to give my boys a safe and stable place to call home. I’m doing everything I can, but I’m struggling to keep up with even the basics while preparing to bring a newborn into this situation.

The funds raised will go towards securing housing, including the bond and upfront costs of a rental, as well as essential items for Elijah when he arrives, and basic needs for Luca.

I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help like this, but I just want to give my boys some stability, safety, and a place where they can feel secure.
