Mel and Their Boys

We have created this go fund me to honour our friend James and his beautiful family; his amazing wife Mel and their three gorgeous boys Bobby, Michael and Oscar.

James was taken from us too young, after almost a year fighting cancer. It is too unjust and unfair but he managed to pack more into his forty years than many do in a lifetime. He saw so much of the world, and had a curiosity for everything; philosophy, music, politics, comedy, culture and crappy UK pop songs.

And that man knew how to have fun. He collected friends everywhere he went from all walks of life and was one of the least judgemental people, never bowing to the pressure of what others may expect him to think, do or behave like.

He searched all over for his person and we still remember his face and the way he was walking on air the day after he met Mel. He already knew something special was happening and the next chapter of his life was beginning.

He loved so completely and courageously fought his multiple cancers to meet his third son Oscar and have too few, but very special, months with him.

I know so many friends have reached out and asked how they can help Mel and the boys; Bobby, 5, Michael, 3 and Oscar, 4 months old. Relieving any immediate financial burdens is a wonderful place to start. To allow them to grieve but also find joy where they can without worry.
