If you’re here, thank you for taking the time to even read. My name is Kara and I have been one of Megan’s best friends since middle school.

Megan has always been someone you can count on. She is caring, loving, and one of the hardest workers I know. She worked and saved until she was finally in a position to purchase her own home, even as a single mom of two amazing kiddos.

She got back together with her children’s father July 2023. Megan has wanted to move for quite some time and felt now was the perfect time to do this. She closed on a home just a couple weeks ago. A place she thought she was going to get to raise her children, no longer as a single mom.

One week after closing on the house, her life has been flipped upside down, bank account drained with a new mortgage in her name, and grieving the loss of what her life was supposed to look like.

You can see what this looks like as an outsider, but nobody truly knows the real story, not even Megan. The children’s father has been arrested for something absolutely unimaginable. The absolute betrayal that Megan is feeling and the devastation of having to one day tell her children why their father hasn’t been here. Along with dealing with emotional trauma, she now has an enormous financial burden with a drained bank account and had just quit her job to move.

Since she is not a direct victim of a crime, she cannot receive benefits from the state. If you feel it in your heart to donate to Megan, I know she will be eternally grateful for any help she receives. If I know anybody deserving of help, it is her.
