Madison to Morogoro!

MEGA for SEGA is a club at Madison West High School in Madison, Wisconsin. SEGA (Secondary Education for Girl's Advancement) is a school in Morogoro, Tanzania, that provides secondary education to girls who would not have access to it otherwise.
MEGA (Madison Empowering Girl's Advancement) is a club that has worked closely with this school over the past year. We have established a sister schol partnership between SEGA and West High School.  Our next step is to begin an exchange program with the school by traveling to the school in Morogoro, Tanzania this June!
The funds raised in this gofundme page will help to pay for our trip. We have a great group of 5 dedicated high school students going on the trip. The total cost we need to raise is $2,000.
We are going on this trip not only to teach the girls English, but also to learn Swahili from them (we have been taking lessons in Madison in collaboration with the African Studies department at the UW). It will be a unique experience where we will immerse ourselves in a different culture. We will also be able to see a thriving non profit at work, and draw these ideas into our own lives.
We truly appreciate your help in getting us to Tanzania. Through your support, we will be able to make a cultural connection with the girls.
We are grateful for every donation, and every penny gets us closer to a lifetime experience in Tanzania!
