Rally around River is a fundraiser aiming to help curb the medical costs for a family in need. River Judah McKinley was born July 15th 2025 to Madison and Andrew McKinley. River was diagnosed with SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease that affects the motor neurons in the spinal cord, causing progressive muscle weakness and wasting. Our goal is to help this family with the medical costs for River and for anything that they need during this hard time. The money is going towards lifesaving treatment for SMA. River needs the gene therapy in order to live. Treatment is needed within the first month of life for best outcomes and quality of life. The cost of gene therapy is $2.2 million dollars.
