Welcome and thank you taking the time to have a read through.
My name is Adam, I live in a Cornish town called St Austell.

Meet Archie.

In July 2025 aged 2 Archie wasn't moving his neck in his usual toddler fashion, After several weeks of GP appointments, various discussions and no change to Archies movements he was sent to a local hospital in Cornwall for further tests.

After 2 months of investigating and Elliot (dad) and Harriet (Mum) insisting something was not healthy with their beautiful boy, Archie under went an MRI scan on his neck, this resulting in the discovery of a lump and bone erosion.

Little Archie spent a week of general anaesthesia , scans and ultimately a major operation to take a biopsy from the lump at the bottom of his skull.

Then the wait, the endless 2 weeks felt like a lifetime to Archies parents , sadly the long wait did not bring good news for Elliott and Harriet! Archie was diagnosed with LCH cancer.

to date Archie has had a central line fitted to his chest, he now has chemotherapy once a week and is on 3 doses of steroid per day.

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children have been amazing, nurses in the emergency department, nurses in the wards, incredible neurosurgeon and of course the oncology consultant.

All this is why Elliott and Harriet have decided to raise money The Grand Appeal which raises funds for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. the money goes towards life saving equipment, medical research, toys, games and family support.

Myself and friends intend to ride the 180 miles following the cycle routes from Cornwalls Family Butchers in St Austell straight through to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children in 24 hours, on the 14th through to the 15th March 2026. Follow here The Big Bike Ride Adams journey to the big day on this link. all funds will be handed to Elliott and Harriett to add to their fundraising to donate to The Great Appeal.

Elliott and Harriet have an event in the shop Cornwalls Family Buthers in St Austell to take part in. with prizes from theirs and other local businesses.
