Hello All! My name is Malika Day and I am a junior at Bowling Green State University. I am pleased to say I am planning on attending my second MEDLIFE mobile clinic volunteer trip May 6-14 to Moshi, Tanzania!
MEDLIFE's mission is to provide Medicine, Education, and Development to Low Income Families Everywhere. During this volunteer trip I will be working closely with medical professionals to provide primary care/medicine and educational programs to communities who lack access. Some different services that are provided within a mobile clinic include, but are not limited to: Pharmacy, Dentistry, Obstetrician/Gynecologist (preventative test), Tooth brushing, and Triage. A development project will take place in the community, as well. Although my trip's duration is a week, year-round patient follow-up care is provided for patients that experience serious symptoms.
While on my first mobile clinic trip in Managua, Nicaragua I witnessed first-hand the constraints of poverty. It was heartwarming to see the impact I aided in making in the different communities within Nicaragua. It would be a blessing to be able to serve the individuals in Moshi, Tanzania, as well.
I would be extremely grateful for any donation! Money raised would be going towards my participation trip fee and airfare costs. My volunteer work is a reflection of you, as well, as you aid in making this trip possible! Following my trip, I would love to individually thank everyone who helped me for this great cause.
Thank you in advance for your support and God Bless!
