Help Me Make a Difference in Peru!
Friends and family,
As most of you know, I am currently in my junior year of nursing school at the University of Delaware. Through an organization called MedLife, I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to take part in a service learning trip to Lima, Peru, where I’ll be working alongside doctors, nurses, and peers to contribute to development projects, participate in educational workshops, and provide free medical care to those in need.
This isn’t just travel; it’s a chance to learn, serve, and grow. I’ll be immersing myself in the culture, gaining hands-on experience in community service, and learning about the specific needs and health disparities within the local community and city of Lima.
To make this possible, I’m fundraising to help cover the cost of travel, accommodations, program fees, development project materials, mobile clinic materials (doctors, nurses, medications, medical supplies), and patient follow up programs. Funds would also go towards donations I will bring with me such as nitrile exam gloves, hand sanitizer, batteries, dental hygiene supplies, and more.
Any amount — big or small — would mean the world to me. If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing this page would be a huge help!
Thank you for supporting me on this journey of learning, service, and global impact!
With gratitude,
Sydney Levesque
