Hi! My name is Megan and I am currently in the process of raising funds to attend a medical mission trip coming up in the new year. To learn a little bit about me, I am a 24-year-old nurse currently working on the medical progressive care unit at my hometown hospital. I am also a youth leader for 7-12th graders, which I have had the privilege of volunteering as for 5 years now. So far, I have attended 4 mission trips, my last one being a medical trip to Macedonia with World Mission Alliance. As someone who loves and feels called to missions work, I am very excited for God to be leading me to Cambodia as my next mission.

This March 2025, I will be heading out with fellow healthcare workers from my church, The Tree, to Battambang, Cambodia. We will be visiting Roots of Grace and our missionaries, Chris and Heidi Smith, who are already there serving. The heart of this ministry is to bring the hope of Jesus to some of the most vulnerable communities in Battambang, as well as provide much-needed medical care throughout the city and villages beyond.

During this week of ministry, our team will step into serving opportunities through medical clinics, offering physical care while sharing the good news of Christ. Along with serving, our team will also get the opportunity to experience the beauty and history of Cambodia as we visit key cultural sites.

We will be spending two weeks serving in the city of Battambang and traveling to several villages within the area to meet both health and spiritual needs. Our team will set up mobile medical clinics in tents, providing care and building relationships with local communities.

We’re partnering with Grace Fellowship, creating a system of continued care for these villages. Grace Fellowship sends a team once a year, and we will also go once a year—ensuring that a team is present every six months to provide consistent follow-up. Our role will include caring for new patients and following up with those seen by their team, while they’ll do the same for ours. This past summer, Grace Fellowship’s team treated over 800 people in just two weeks—the need is truly great!

As you read this, you might wonder if you may have a role in this ministry. The answer is yes! While I feel called to attend this trip, I had initially dismissed the idea of going due to finances and getting time off work. As the weeks have passed, God has provided me the time needed to take off work; all that's left is covering the finances. The current estimated cost is $3,000, though this has the potential of fluctuating as they finalize travel expenses. The majority of the cost is airfare; all ministry expenses on the ground are graciously covered by the church. I ask that you would partner with me in raising the funds needed to attend this trip.
