Medical, hotel, and meal expenses

Hi, my name is Lacy, daughter of Jeff and Jolene Halverson. Our mom, Jolene, has been suffering from chronic kidney disease for over 10 years. Approximately 5 years ago she started dialysis and was accepted on the transplant list 4 1/2 years ago. We have tried to find a living donor but have been unsuccessful. Our prayers were answered last week with a donor at Nebraska Medicine. On August 16th, our parents received the call that a match was found. Although this is great news for my mom, this also means that another family is grieving. We are forever grateful for the donor and their family.

Mom and dad will be in the hospital and Omaha area for an extended period of time with the transplant. They will be incurring medical bills, hotel and food expenses. Our parents do not know that we are setting up this Go Fund me account. With mom being unable to work for the past few years and dad now being unable to work for an extended period of time to care for his wife of 47 years, we are looking for some assistance to help pay for lodging and food.
