Medical Fund for Leelamma Lal: A Survivor of Racial Hate

Leelamma Lal, an Indian nurse at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, is sustaining severe injuries from 33-year-old patient Stephen Scantlebury's racially-motivated assault. She is suffering multiple facial fractures, with local reports describing the violence as so extreme that "essentially every bone" in her face is broken.

Hum Youth Group, Northwest Indiana's South Asian Student Association, is raising funds to support Leelamma Lal.
