Hi, my name is Epifania Silva (My friends and family call me Fanny). I am from a family of nine, and I just found out that one of my brothers in the Philippines was diagnosed with late stage liver cancer. He was undergoing surgery for assumed gallbladder stones, but they found a tumor when they opened him up. After a biopsy, the doctor confirmed that he has cancer that has spread to multiple organs. He was unstable and is currently in the ICU. My brother has a wife but no children and is a small hog farmer. The estimated daily hospital bills are equivalent to about $1,500.00 CAD. The only option for him now is to undergo chemo, which is very costly in the Philippines. My other siblings and family members are helping, but we need some help to get through this. My brother is a very good man who cared for our parents while they were still alive. He never asks for any help from anybody but is always ready to help others in any way he can. He deserves a chance to live longer. He is 55 years old at the moment. I thank you in advance for any help you can give.
