Hi, Shelby here. I am attempting to help out a friend/sister from another mister/nurse coworker with this campaign. Kathy is one of the most selfless, caring, and loving humans on this earth. Many years ago, when I was in a crisis, she dropped everything and was with me 24/7. Her entire family is the same way. They broke the mold when they made them.

Kathy’s last job was working as a school nurse in the DC area. Then she got sick. Lung cancer, but she beat it. It took a lot out of her, but she’s a tough one. Now, her liver has decided to act up. Soooo…in a couple of weeks, she will be visiting Duke for a 3-day evaluation, and shortly after, a liver transplant. Needless to say, expenses haven’t been easily covered, and the travel itself is pricey. Duke is about two hours away, so they will need to stay for the evaluation in a hotel. I plan on being there during/after the transplant, so I can keep everyone updated.
