My name is Joe, and I’ve always believed that food is a basic human right. Over the past few months, I’ve met several people experiencing homelessness during my daily travels. Many are struggling with mental illness or addiction—challenges that are incredibly hard to face while living on the streets. I realized that, while I can’t solve every problem, I can help make sure that food is one less thing to worry about.
That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser: to buy food and supplies so I can cook and serve meals to people in need in my city. I’m beginning with one meal a week, but with enough support, I hope to do this several times each week. I’m not doing this alone—the owner of Borrachos restaurant is generously lending his food trailer and cooking with us, and I have five dedicated friends who share my passion for serving others.
If you’re able to help, any amount makes a difference. Your support will help us provide nourishing meals and a little hope to those who need it most. If you would like to volunteer your time, let us know! Thank you for joining me in doing something selfless for our community.
