MEAL TRAIN FOR CHRONICALLY ILL AND DISABLED FOLX

Every two weeks we are cooking and delivering freezable meals to chronically ill and disabled peoples homes in Berlin, as many in our community are not able to prepare warm home cooked meals for themselves. We are working towards food safety in our community that meets the dietary needs of all receivers. For this we need you to help us fund this project, so we can offer meals on donation basis, with the possibility of receiving free meals. This is especially important as chronically ill and disabled people are often excluded from the work force and are not getting the financial support by the state, they should be able to access.

Donations will only go towards resources needed for cooking and delivery. For this project to be working out longterm, and for us not having to crowdfund money regularly, monthly donations (no matter how small) would be the most sustainable. We are working on setting up these structures.

Update and financial transparency:

The first meal train round successfully delivered 65 meals to 15 receivers on 30th of march, we plan to increase meals and recipients while gathering experience and more resources. So far our starting expenses were 470 Euro, while our monthly expenses for groceries and gas lie around 300 Euro at the moment.
