A few years ago, I had the privilege of volunteering for the Solent Adaptive Ski Club's annual trip to Folgaria, Italy. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to join for the past two years due to the costs involved. As a self-employed volunteer, losing a week's income while also paying to volunteer is a real challenge, especially with the tax deadline looming. To raise funds for this trip, I’m taking on a tough challenge; climbing the vertical distance from my hometown of Romsey to the highest ski lift in Folgaria. I’ll be doing this at my local indoor climbing wall, aiming to reach the top 300 times in one day!

The skiers we support are truly inspiring, each with unique challenges like cerebral palsy, autism, or partial blindness.
