Hi , i'm Isobelle and I have been given a wonderful opportunity to volunteer at a youth activity camp. When we are on camp i will be mentoring, encouraging and making a difference in the lives of young people. This will include outdoor activities to team building activities and supporting them to grow in confidence, communication and self belief. When not on camps i will be helping to do work to the manor house, cleaning and training to improve my skills as a leader.

The reason why i am so keep to go away to do this on my gap year is because i used to go there with my high school. Oakes was a place i could go for a weekend and have a weekend packed with fun but also development. When i was younger i looked up to my dorm leaders and everyone on camp. I want to be that role model for other young people.

But here is the catch - i need help covering the costs (things like food and accommodation). I truly believe that this experience wont only benefit me and help me grow but also help the young people i work with.

Another reason why it is so important for me to take place in this gap year is that it will help me experience what working with young people is like. this is important for me a i would like to go to university and qualify in Psychology and counselling to support young people.
