MY VOLUNTEER TRIP TO COLOMBIA!

Hello friends and family. I am pleased to announce that in October I will be traveling to Cartagena,Colombia to help build transitional homes for families living in unsafe and unhealthy living conditions.
I am so happy to partake on this service trip hosted by WeJourney , TECHO and Nicole Mejia. This trip is making one of my dreams a reality. We live in a world where struggle and hardship is still apparent so every little bit of help makes a big difference to someone.
My goal is to raise $5,000 to build a complete home for a family. I will be documenting my journey and will keep you all updated with pictures and videos of how your money is being used.
Well, let’s do something. Let’s be the change. Let’s take action. Let’s give back. Let’s help others. Let’s be a community that cares about the poverty situation in other countries. Let’s be part of the solution to these social problems.

TECHO:
The construction of transitional homes is a unique experience. During the construction process of these houses, you can develop important values of unity, solidarity and teamwork with your family and friends. Through this experience, you can get closer to a reality that millions of people in Latin America live day by day, and be part of a plausible and immediate solution to a situation of urgent need; share with adults, children, youth, volunteers and have a different view of poverty and its solution.

WE JOURNEY:
Our foundational belief that 'giving-back' is a human instinct, not a chore. When you see someone in pain, or in danger, it is your instinct to help them, rather than turning away and perpetuating suffering. We set out to capture that instinct, and provide a way for people to engage with social impact in deep, authentic and fun way that encourages them to deepen their involvement in social causes and make new decisions about how they show up in the world.
