Hello my name is Emma I am rasing money for my brilliant husband who has been our families rock.
My husbands dream was simple he wanted to drive a bus. He loved the rhythm of the city, the familiar routes, and the small, daily interactions with his passengers. He’d always wanted a job where he felt he was part of the community, and becoming a bus driver was the perfect fit. After years of hard work, he finally got the job he had always wanted. Life was good. He was a proud husband and a father of four, with another little one on the way. Everything was going according to plan until the 16th of September, 2022. It was a day in our memory not for celebration, but for fear. I went into early labor, three months ahead of schedule. Our baby girl Scarlett was breech. The birth was fraught with complications, as soon as she was born, she was whisked away to the intensive care unit. Our world, which had been so steady and predictable, was suddenly in free fall,
With Scarlett fighting for her life and me recovering from the traumatic birth, my husband knew what he had to do. His family came first, it always has, He made the gut-wrenching decision to leave his beloved job. The bus routes, the passengers, the daily routine, but none of it mattered as much as being there for me, his 4 children and his fragile new baby. He became our rock, spending his days and nights at the hospital, splitting his time between comforting me and watching over Scarlett , a tiny, vulnerable figure in a clear plastic box. Plus our other 4 children who also very worried for there little sister.
After what felt like an eternity, Scarlett finally came home after two long months in the hospital. We breathed a collective sigh of relief, believing the worst was behind us, but our relief was short-lived. A few weeks later, we woke to a parent's worst nightmare... Scarlett was struggling to breathe. She was rushed back to the hospital, and the cycle of fear and uncertainty began again. Just as we were starting to see a glimmer of hope Scarlett's breathing was stabilising, she was getting better, day by day she was getting stronger and slowly breathing on her own. After 3 long weeks in hospital scarlett came home and is striving every day. She is nearly 3 years old now and is a cheeky little girl.
My husband managed to go back to his dream job as a bus driver with arriva, he was enjoying it, enjoying being back,But in 2023 I suddenly collapsed. The doctors diagnosed me with a collapsed lung. I was rushed to hospital, leaving my husband to manage a household of five children and a wife in hospital. My husband was navigating a storm with no end in sight, yet he held on, driven by the fierce love he has for his family. After a week of recovering in hospital I was allowed home, but we was hit again with more bad news as we had to leave our property of 14 years and move out of London due to our landlord wanting to sell the property, which ment my husband had to yet again leave his dream job, focusing on moving our little family and getting us where we are now. He has always put us, his family first now we would like to repay him back for all the hard work and dedication he has put in.
So I'm here to began a quiet campaign, reaching out. My goal is simple but ambitious to raise money for my husband to get a car as we put everything we had into moving home. It's more than just a vehicle, it is a symbol of his future, a way for him to get back to the bus depot, to the job he love's so dearly
