16-year-old Cleveland Dodd was tortured to his suicide death at the infamously notorious gulag known as "Unit 18" - a despicable child prison located inside West Australia's toughest and largest maximum security adult prison, Casuarina.
Cleveland was cruelly isolated for 22 to 23 hours a day for 75 of his last 86 days of life.
He turned 16 during those callous, tortuous days.
Unit 18 is a multifaceted scandalous indictment of West Australia. Unit 18 is the barbaric offshoot of Australia's most horrendous children's prison, Banksia Hill.
During the last evening and night of Cleveland's life, Cleveland begged for water and paracetamol. Tortured for hours, begging with his life, he was refused water. Eight desperate calls. Not a single welfare check.
In the early morning hours he ended the wickedness surrounding him, by ending his life.
Cleveland's Mum, and his five younger siblings are shattered.
Despite their impoverishment, they want no other child to be destroyed as was Cleveland. They are fighting for the abolition of the barbaric Unit 18 and for the transformation of Banksia Hill and of also Australia's 16 other children's prisons.
Please donate to their child human rights fighting campaign to humanely reform all that at present remains inhumane, cruel, wicked.
