In February this year, our beautiful niece Isla was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. During her different hospital stays and treatment, Isla and family have experienced wonderful support provided by the hospital and some amazing charities.

Last year, Carlos and I signed up to the 2026 ING Night Half Marathon in Luxembourg, taking place on 16th May, with some friends (shout out to Heather, Brian and Nathan!), so now we will use the run to increase awareness of Isla's illness and raise money for The Give a Duck Foundation.

This is a UK-based children's cancer charity dedicated to providing comfort, education, and support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The foundation supplies "Chemo Duck" packs to children, helping them navigate the fear and anxiety of cancer treatment through play therapy. Isla and her big sister fell in love with their ducks immediately, reminding us that, even though life has changed drastically, they are still little sisters who love and enjoy playing!
