McDonald’s Family Fundraiser

Hi I’m Ben Cain (known as Squashed on tour) and I’m head of the Ladies European Tour Caddies Association. The Caddies Association alongside the Ladies European Tour have come up with a fundraiser for the McDonald Family.

Alistair has been a member for the caddies association for the last few years now and is loved on tour by the caddies, players and staff alike. Alistair received some devastating news over the off season when his family learned that his wife Ros had terminal brain cancer. Alistair has had to forgo his job he had lined up with Elinor Sudow for the season to care for his wife and help his children through the devastating circumstances.

We are have set up a fundraiser on the family’s behalf, not for treatment, but to try and provide a stress and financial free way for the family to make and enjoy some special moments together.

The fundraiser is set across the two LET tournaments in South Africa, in Johannesburg and Cape Town whereby the players can opt into a birdie/eagle scheme with €5 per birdie and €10 per eagle donation made each round. The caddies are also going to be matching their players contribution.
