McAslan Family Needs Your Support

As we all know, people all over the world have been affected by cancer. The McAslan family is another one of those families. Alex McAslan. A father to 4 kids as well as an angel baby who passed away hours after she was born due to issues breathing. Alex McAslan is a fighter. His children call him their superman. Life has been far from fair to them. Alex McAslan was a volunteer firefighter before he even turned 18. He served in the fire department for many years before having an injury on a call and breaking his back. He was an emt for a portion of life as well. After his injury, life has been full of ups and downs. His heart has stopped beating 3 times. A few months ago he was diagnosed with a DVT blood clot in his leg. This was in result of a IVC Filter that was placed back in the 2000s after Alex broke his back and his back was replaced with metal. He nearly bled out during the procedure to remove the clot back in December. Alex is now a dispatcher for the medical helicopters for many years now. He wears his heart on his sleeve, always making sure others are okay before himself.

Alex's family is struggling. Among those many things. Alex was diagnosed in his early 30s with Multiple Myeloma. Cancer of the Bone marrow. He has been fighting for over 14 years. Alex underwent a Stem Cell Transplant 13 years ago as well as chemo to hopefully manage his cancer and give him the best chance at a long life. Well, Alex is now a month out of yet another round of Chemo and another Stem Cell transplant. Cancer is not fun. The economy makes it very hard to make a living nowadays. They don't have the best living situation yet they always stay positive and never ask for help.

Alex's wife Tabitha, struggles with health issues that are currently unknown due to lack of insurance. Money has been hard for years. Due to this, Alex has been the only source of income for this family. His wife manages his appointments and dinner as well as helping their youngest daughter, Casey, hold down the fort at the house. Casey is very dedicated to helping as she started doing ride alongs at just 14 years old with BCEMS. She's a wonderful image of her dad. It's a huge team effort. His daughter Casey, struggles with dysautonomia. Simple tasks for her cause her to pass out. She tries her best to help her parents but things have fallen short. They are behind on their bills and have been struggling to feed themselves due to only having 500 dollars a month for bills, groceries, etc. Casey McAslan came to me not to long ago, stressed and in fear of how they're going to manage as they only had 15 dollars for groceries that week. Not much of their family has helped them and their feeling hopeless.

I hate to ask, but any donation goes a long way. They are eternally greatful for any help they can get. They have been trying for food stamps and disability and have no help. This is our cry for help. And even if you can donate. It helps to just get the word out. Please help me in blessing this family and helping them to keep fighting as they do for others all the time.

Any donations are greatly appreciated and it doesn’t matter the size. To those who do donate, I thank you in advance.
