MBSCorps Heroes and Hope

The University of Maine MBSCorps in collaboration with the 20th Maine Honor Society and Navy-Marine ROTC is running Heroes and Hope. We are raising money to support two local veterans associations, the Maine Veteran Project and Service Dog Strong. Maine Veteran Project offers a variety of programs and services to Maine veterans. Including indoor and outdoor recreation programs as well as providing local veterans with heat for the winter. Service Dog Strong turns rescued shelter dogs into Service Dogs and pairs them with Survivors of sexual assault and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) who have been diagnosed with PTSD. Both organizations have a focus on preventing Veteran suicide. This fundraiser will accept donations until Sunday, March 27th, 2022.
