Hi there! My name is Mary Beth and I've recently been accepted to the Loop Abroad program in South Africa  for June 17-July 3.
     On my trip to South Africa, I will be volunteering for two weeks at a cheetah breeding facility called Feracare. There I will be learning anatomy, behavior, and conservation of the big cats from a DVM along side the animals. Some of my responsibilities will include maintenance and care of the animals and enclosures, construction, feeding, and possibly providing medical care if it is needed. 
     I'm going on this trip to because I have a passion for wildlife and conservation efforts that align well with the Loop Abroad programs. I want to expand my experiences and broaden my knowledge of different species and their specific needs. I want to further my insight on the preservation of species diversity to prepare myself for my future career as a veterinarian.
    The money donated will go towards program enrollment and travel expenditures. Any donation is greatly appreciated and means the world to me!
