Hi my name is Mel, sister to Maz and Aunty to Kiarna. Kiarna is Maz's oldest daughter. Our family and friends would like to set up this fundraiser to assist in getting this mother and daughter reunited after our family's tragic events that took place in 2025.

February 1st, my sister's nightmare begins finding her son, aged 22 passed away in his bedroom in the city of Brisbane. Maz has 3 other younger children full time, and her son had no insurance. She had no other choice but to finance his funeral to say our goodbyes, which have come at a cost.

After Kiarna losing her close brother 2 months prior, she welcomed some good news that her and her partner Jayden are expecting a baby. Then the unexpected, tragic events occurred in Cairns a few days later. Jayden, aged 23 passed away at work, leaving my niece and sister utterly shattered and devastated beyond words. My sister Maz had to leave Brisbane with her 3 young children to be by Kiarna’s side in Cairns. They now need to be together to support each other and have the strength to take each day at a time. Maz has decided to relocate back to Cairns and help Kiarna bring this beautiful addition to the family into this world. Unfortunately, Maz has also lost her contracted income and is unable to sell everything to start again. As well as Jayden has no insurance to assist Kiarna financially throughout her pregnancy.

This beautiful family needs any assistance they can get as any help would be used for:

· Maz and her family relocating to Cairns

· Outstanding payments of Josh’s funeral costs

· Kiarna setting up a house for herself and bub (furniture, bond payment, baby items)

· Funding towards time off work during grieving periods

· Funding towards time off work when Kiarna is having bub
