Mayo Clinic Children’s Hospital video games!

Hi! My name is Jude and I am 9 and in 4th grade. I was in the hospital this week at  Mayo Clinic St. Mary’s for low platelet levels. It was very sad and scary and I wanted to be home. Then, the nurse brought me a PlayStation cart and it made me feel so much better. It took my stress away. I played Madden football and felt like I was actually playing real football. I want to be a professional football player on the Vikings when I grow up, but am not allowed to play football because I have ITP and get bruises easily. The nurse said they only have older gaming systems and not very many of them. She said some kids have to stay at the hospital a long time and the hospital doesn’t have enough video game carts to go around. I want to raise money for at least one newer gaming system to make it easier for kids to stay in the hospital. This could be a Nintendo Switch, PS5, new Xbox or something like that. Maybe we could even get two! Anything extra that we raise, Mayo Clinic said we could give them an Amazon gift card to buy fun video games and toys for kids.

My mom and I can bring whatever we get to Mayo Clinic Child Life Department! Thank you so much for helping kids in the hospital to feel better!
