Maya Alexandri - Volunteer Fire Company Support

To those of you who have read my story on Lit Hub , and who have the volition to make a donation to support the continued operations of my volunteer fire company during the COVID 19 pandemic, thank you.  As I described  on Lit Hub , volunteer EMT's like myself are able to serve our communities safely because of our personal protective equipment and procedures, like decontamination, that minimize risk for ourselves and the patients we transport.  At my fire station, our members, including our Captain, are contributing their personal resources to ensure that we have the equipment we need.  This mode of funding is not sustainable.  Moreover, our fundraising efforts largely depend on interactions with the public, and social distancing has resulted in steep declines in our fundraising activities.
