A save for "Max". Ukraine to Minnetonka, MN

Greetings! I am Mike Woodley and I am the Head coach of a Junior Gold hockey team in Minnetonka, MN. I have a 16-year old Ukrainian young man on my team that was rescued from Ukraine with family permission by the Hess family on Minnesota. This young man has been enrolled in Minnetonka high school since March 2022. He is adapting to our school system in the USA and his English is getting better every day

As his head hockey coach, I wanted to organize a team and community effort to support this young man, his family in Ukraine and host family in Minnesota. My players, parents and our community in Minnetonka, MN is rallying to assist the effort.

His name is Maksym Cherevatenko. We call him "Max'. Max was displaced from his home in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He has been living with the Hess family and attending Minnetonka high school with their son Tyler since March of this year. "Max" is a goalie on the Minnetonka Junior Gold Blue team. Our goal is to assist Max's host family with the costs of playing Junior Gold Hockey this season. All funds will be directed to the Cherevatenko, his family and his host family to provide a better future for"Max". I so thankful that the players and parents of hockey team and sponsors are all supporting this cause!
